  3. Nesse momento, ligue o forno em 180 graus. Para a calda, em uma panela, leve o açúcar ao fogo médio, mexendo um pouco, até virar esse caramelo. Acrescente a água, tome cuidado para não se queimar, pois as bolhas vão subir. Mexa um pouco e deixe virar calda novamente.
  4. Despeje a calda imediatamente sobre os abacaxis, na forma. Depois, acrescente o fermento a massa, misture delicadamente e coloque na forma. Leve para assar por 40-50 minutos no forno pré-aquecido.
  5. Tire do forno e desenforme depois de 5 minutos esfriando. A massa saiu bem baixinha do forno, embora tenha subido pra caramba durante o processo. Algo me diz que o abacaxi deu uma aerada na massa, por isso a textura tenha ficado diferente. De qualquer forma, a calda tem que estar derretida ainda para o abacaxi não grudar no fundo da forma, não deixe esfriar demais.
